JOB TITLE: IT Specialist-Administrative Support

STATUS: Exempt

REPORTS TO: Director of IT

DATE: January 2022

PAY BAND/HOURLY RATE:  3 / $15.18 - $19.00

 

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

The IT Specialist-Administrative Support will be responsible for administrative activities in support of the technology team. This position requires regular communication with the IT Director, IT Specialist-Help Desk, and staff. The IT Specialist-Administrative Support will primarily be responsible for equipment ordering, IT inventory management, and creation of new accounts. Additionally, the IT Specialist-Administrative Support will be responsible for day-to-day technical support and maintenance of Partnership computers, printers, and network connections.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Knowledge of Office 365 and cloud computing technology. Knowledge and ability to independently troubleshoot current operating systems and respective hardware. Ability to operate independently to accomplish goals set forth by the IT Director. Authority to directly interface with vendors of equipment to handle warranty request. Knowledge of current server and desktop operating systems and troubleshooting techniques. Good driving record required, as driving to sites within the North Alabama area will be frequent. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to directly interface with end users and provide superior customer service. Initiative driven; willing to track issues and troubleshoot independently.

 

Credentials/Experience:

Minimum 2-year experience in administrative assistant or technical support roles. 2 Year Degree in Administrative or Technology preferred. Security+ certification required within 1 year of hire date. Excellent written and verbal communication. Thorough familiarity with Windows 10 operating system from a technician level. Secondary point of contact for the help desk ticketing system.

 

Additional Responsibilities:

Retrieving quotes, pricing, and specifications from third party vendors and installers. May be required to attend professional meetings and training for the purpose of enhancing the quality of the data systems. Must be able to travel and stay overnight as needed. Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance required.

 

Work Relationships and Scope:

Reports directly to the Director of IT. Interfaces directly with all positions in the Partnership.

 

Measure of Performance:

Quality, accuracy, timeliness, reliability, and thoroughness of work performed. Communicates effectively (written and verbally); responsive to the requests and information needs of the Partnership; problem solver; creative thinker; quality of the example set for other employees, team player, commitment and loyalty to the Partnership; maintenance of confidential information.

 

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in an office setting. Moderate travel to make various locations across North Alabama is required. This position requires sitting, standing, bending, and moderate lifting. This position requires a valid driver’s license, proof of vehicle insurance and safe driving record.
