JOB TITLE: Communications & Compliance Resource Specialist        STATUS:  Non-exempt

REPORTS TO: Director of Communications & Marketing     DATE: Sept 2021

 

Position Summary:

The Communications and Compliance Resource Specialist is responsible for administrative, creative, and support activities related to communication and compliance in the overall operations of the Partnership.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitors social media platforms for content relevant to the daily operations of the Partnership and its partner agencies
  • Creates content for social media posts using text and graphics for distribution across the Partnership’s social media accounts
  • Creates graphics for use in all media outlets including but not limited to social, print, video, and training presentations
  • Maintains social media calendar through the coordination and scheduling of social media posts via Hootsuite (or other current social media scheduling platform)
  • Conducts live social media events through Partnership social media platforms
  • Works with key Partnership program staff to generate communication materials for distribution among staff and customers/clients
  • Curates content from all Partnership programs for internal newsletter
  • Generates promotional and informational materials for consumption by Partnership communities, Board members, partner agencies, and media
  • Works in coordination with the Director of Communications, Marketing & Compliance, the Communications Specialist, and the Compliance Specialist to develop systematic outcome reports that meet Organizational Standard requirements and Strategic Plan expectations
  • Creates graphics/infographics representing data results and outcomes
  • Creates graphics, video clips, hard copy data reports, and other reporting materials for annual CSBG-funded program reports to the Board
  • Monitors data analytics for all social media platforms and adjusts social media strategies to improve overall online performance

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintains understanding of Organizational Standards, ROMA, and CSBG regulations
  • Monitors and schedules requests for information, data/data analysis, creative products, and other program needs as related to the department
  • Attends community, state, regional and national activities, meetings and trainings appropriate for this position
  • Supports and understand the mission of the Partnership
  • Other duties as may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position
  • Designs and curates social media content
  • Publishes the agency’s Annual Report
  • Publishes CSBG-funded program Board reports
  • Develops marketing materials annually across all program areas of the agency for distribution to internal and external customers
  • Creates and schedules social media content weekly to promote brand awareness
  • Maintains and distributes the Partnership’s internal newsletter with program-specific content monthly

 

Work Relationships and Scope:

  • Designs and curates social media content

Measure of Performance:

  • Annual Report
  • Board Meeting results reports
  • Weekly social media posts
  • Social media analytics reflecting growth (i.e. number of new followers, likes, mentions, comments, etc.)
  • Number of products designed and produced for Partnership program staff
  • Stories curated/generated from Partnership staff for monthly newsletter

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum associate’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Graphic Design or related field from an accredited institution
  • Understanding of data analytics
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 including proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Intermediate level experience with Adobe Creative Cloud is preferred
  • Ability to problem solve and work in a fast-paced environment adjusting to intense workload and deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to understand and deal with the difficult issues of poverty
  • Ability to interact with sensitivity and confidentiality

 

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in an office setting and remotely with minimal safety issues. This position requires sitting, standing, bending, and minimal lifting. Occasional travel to community, state, regional and national meetings or events. This position requires a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
